About the Reinvent Franklin Plan

The City of Franklin is situated within Warren County, OH, bordered to the north by the Great Miami River, bisected by Interstate 75, and neighboring Springboro, Middletown, and Carlisle. Franklin was founded in 1796 by General William C. Schenk and started as a series of cabins along the river. Through the development of railroads in the mid-to-late 1800's, Franklin became another center for industry.

Today, the City of Franklin has a rich history with many historical buildings and commemorative murals. Franklin also has a wealth of industrial land near Interstate 75 and a pro-business attitude, making it ripe for industrial and commercial prosperity. Its downtown boasts grand views of the Great Miami River and offers connectivity and recreation with a bike path that connects up with Springboro and Middletown.

Moving forward, this Comprehensive Plan aims to preserve the City's rich history, encourage prosperity, improve quality of life, and bring the community together to reinvent a Franklin for the Future.
